The Predictive Index(PI) assesses
my behaviour as "dominant",
"extravert","impatient", and "low on allignment
to environment(system), however still possessing the corporate
hook".
I agree basicly with the assessment. Working hard since years on
decreasing the "dominance" factor with some significant
success, still some decrease would be welcome. I have no plans in
putting an effort to change my "extravert" behaviour. All my
efforts in increase somewhat the "patience" factor have not
resulted in a significant improvement, reason could be that this factor
lies deeper, more embedded than the others, more like a
"character" issue. I am trying to prevent the further slide of
the "allignment to environment(system)" factor, this mainly to
ensure the corporate hook. I cannot agree on the "loss of
energy" finding in the "self concept" part, I consider
this finding a result of a "noise" factor.

The Myers Briggs Type
Indicator"(MBTI) assesses me as an "ESTJ", standing for
"Extravert", "Sensing", "Thinking", and
"Judging".
Nothing to say about extraversion, I am working on the others. I am
afraid being an engineer underlines the "STJ" part, and I cannot
claim that I am happy with this outfit all the time. Through the years, I
made significant steps from "S"(Sensing) towards
"N"(Intuition"). If I would be assessed today, I would be
rated in the second dimension as a neutral, or even a slight
"N", I think. The "T"(Thinking) and
"J"(Judging) factors on dimensions three and four, respectively,
are so strong that I have practically no possibility to go to the other
end of the scale, however, with enormous effort over the years, I can
proudly say that my "T" and "J" behaviours have
occasionally very strong "F"(Feeling) and
"P"(Perceiving) "jumps".

"Element B" assesses my
behaviour basically as "including people", "controlling
people" and "not being open with peole". Further down in
details, the assessment is that I want to include people even more than I
actually do, and want that people include me slight less than actual. On
the "control" dimension, I score maximum level on "I
control people", however the intention is to decrease this level, and
in me somewhere there is the wish that the score on "people control
me", which is rated as zero, would build up to an level somewhat
above minimum. Extremely low scores on "Openness" is mainly a
result of Element B's questions formulated as "all" and
"nothing" fashion.
Since I basically don't approach "openness" issues with
"all" and "nothing" fashion, the score on
"openness" is very low. A secondary reason for the low score may
be the numerous masks that I carry around on a regular basis and the
strange phenomenon of hiding yourself by being open. Element B is a tool I
have lost track of.

Hay Management Consultants define
six managerial styles which a good manager has to have in his/her
possession.: Authoritative, Affiliative, Coercive, Pacesetting,
Democratic, Coaching.
The Good Manager needs to be in control of all them and be able use
effectively each one of them in appropriate situations. According to this
particular tool, I use all of these styles, with the highest emphasis on
Coaching and Affiliative at the first level, and Pacesetting, Democratic,
Authoritative, and Coercive on the second level.
